OUR ORIGINS

A Bruneian based film photography lab and ethical film photographic supply retailer founded by Nicholas Teo. It is our aim to provide a permanent developing and scanning lab in Brunei for photographers and casual shooters who still believes in traditional photographic technologies.

We don't overcharge. Our prices are carefully considered so that it can sustain film photography. By providing a sustainable supply we aspire to bring back the use of film and the love of photography.

NICHOLAS TEO

Founder

The person who started TheFilmpool Photolab. He handles B&W developing for the lab and a big fan of pushing B&W film!

He has personally hand developed and scanned hundreds of films so you can trust him to get the best result out of your film.

PHILIP LIM

35mm Scanner

Colour correction specialist for TheFilmpool Photolab. He was the main C-41 developer for quite a long time but now he shifts his focus to scanning.

SULAIMAN AMAN

120 & 35mm Scanner

Lead Scanner for 120 films. He also scans 35mm and performs experimental scanning styles to improve the lab's workflow.

The latest member to join the team. She has personally experimented with multiple unorthodox scanning methods before settling with her current film scanner. Oh, and she has also held classes for film photography!

The lead C-41 colour developer for TheFilmpool Photolab. He also handles meetup for film processing and plenty more behind the scene stuff.

The first C-41 developer for TheFilmpool Photolab. He now plays a backup role, assisting his brother in developing film.
